BlueJeans is continually improving our network to provide the best possible meeting quality. If echo is still heard in your conference, it is most likely caused by one or more end-point devices. To help pinpoint the echo source:
- Check that your Camera and Microphone are not muted. Red icons with a strikethrough indicate that the device is currently muted.

UPDATE - Google has released a fix for this bug in version 63 of Google Chrome
There is a rare issue where Chrome users will intermittently not be able to use their microphones. When a user hits this, other meeting participants will not be able to hear them. This is a Chrome bug that Google is actively working on. More details for this issue and its progress can be found here.
For Attendees, the Speaker Audio being heard, will use your Operating System’s default audio device. Here is how you can change the headset or speaker(s) that you would like to use in the Event.
During a meeting, participants may experience fluctuations in audio levels or echo coming from those who are using specific audio devices that are less compatible with BlueJeans. Included below is a list of devices that are not ideal to use with the BlueJeans service:

For WebRTC on Chrome, the sound will use your operating system’s default audio device. This should change with Chrome 46, however until then, here is how you can change the headset or speaker(s) you would like to use in the BlueJeans meeting.
When not using a headset, and relying on your PC speakers and mic, changing the sound settings on your computer can help minimize echo issues.
- Open the Control Panel and click on Sound
- Select the Recording tab, right-click your microphone, and select Properties
- Select the Enhancements tab, disable all enhancements, and click Apply.
