Cannot dial into BlueJeans using my room system

Last Updated: May 22, 2018 // 8:19 AM

If you are not able to connect to BlueJeans using your room system, the most common reasons are:

  1. You are dialing via ISDN. To learn more about ISDN access, click here.
  2. Your Enterprise firewall(s) do not allow outbound video calling for H.323. BlueJeans Network uses the following TCP and UDP ports with the service:
    • TCP Port 1720 - H.225 Signaling for H.323
    • TCP Ports 5000-5999 - H.245 Call Control for H.323
    • UDP Ports 5000-5999 - RTP Media
  3. Your Enterprise firewall(s) do not allow outbound video calling for SIP. BlueJeans Network uses the following TCP and UDP ports with the service:
    • TCP Port 5060 - Signaling for SIP
    • TCP Port 5061 - Signaling for SIP (TLS)
    • UDP Ports 5000-5999 - RTP Media

These are the port settings we recommend to Open Outbound towards BlueJeans Entire IP Range:

199.48.152.0/22
31.171.208.0/21
103.20.59.0/24
103.255.54.0/24
8.10.12.0/24
165.254.117.0/24
13.210.3.128/26
34.245.240.192/26 NEW (added May 2018)
13.251.83.128/26 NEW (added May 2018)

If you should find issues connecting with our service, you may want to discuss opening the above mentioned ports with the firewall administrators.

Please note:

  • Some firewalls, such as Palo Alto Networks, prefer to filter network traffic based on the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN). If this applies to your firewall configuration please use the following FQDNs in order to connect to BlueJeans:  bjn.vc and bluejeans.com
  • Some countries (Russia, for example) do not allow encryption to be enabled to room systems (such as Polycom). Security Mode and AES Encryption are removed from their user interface, so, if your meeting is encrypted, they will not be able to connect.
