Getting Started with the BlueJeans Events App

We have released a new app for BlueJeans Events. This fully-featured desktop app provides a seamless events experience for Moderators and Presenters, giving them intuitive controls to easily manage live virtual events.

 

GETTING STARTED

1. Download the new Events app

Visit the BlueJeans Download Center to access the new BlueJeans Events app.

Please note that if your enterprise is enabled with the Events app, the next event that you join will prompt you to download the new BlueJeans Events app.

2. Install

Click the “BlueJeans_Events.pkg” / “BlueJeans_Events.exe” file when the download is completed. You will be guided through the steps necessary to install the app.

3. Login

Click “SIGN IN” on the home page of the app to log in. (Single Sign-On login flow is also supported in the app.) You will be automatically logged in if you select the option on the browser to join the event on the app.

4. Integrate with your Calendar

Currently, we support Google & O365 calendars. Select your calendar and confirm your email account to integrate.

Note: We support integration with O365 hybrid setup running Microsoft cumulative update 3 or above.

5. Joining an event on the new Events app

  • Browser: After the new Events app has been installed, the app will automatically launch from the browser whenever a user elects to join the event using the app
  • Events App: Enter the event ID or URL on the welcome screen

 

FAQs

Will I have two BlueJeans apps for now?

If you are both BlueJeans Meetings & Events users, then yes, you will have two BlueJeans apps. The "BlueJeans 2.0" app will be for attending Meetings and the new Events app will be for Events.

What features aren't supported yet?

The following features are not available as of today:

  • Application sharing
  • Video pop out during screen sharing

Is there any change in the join flow?

There is no change in the join flow. (Moderators and presenters using Chrome are required to join events solely through the browser.)
